Participant’s Terms & Conditions & Cancellation / Reschedule Policy
This is a legal document that affects your rights, please read it carefully. By participating in a SurfFit Session of any kind, you agree to the terms outlined below.
I agree to take part in this SurfFit Session/s on the following basis:
I acknowledge that exercising in the ocean and open water carries a significant risk of serious injury or death due to a variety of factors.
By participating, I assume all risks inherent in my participation, including the possibility of permanent injury or death. As a result, I release all individuals and companies associated with the event from any claims, demands, or legal action arising from my participation, and I agree to indemnify them against any liability, including liability for their own negligence or that of others, for any injury, loss, or damage related to my participation in the session. This release applies to SurfFit and their coaches, employees, and volunteers, as well as medical and paramedical personnel appointed for the session, landowners, licensees, and occupiers of the site on which the session takes place, any statutory body or local authority with control over the session site or involved in the session, and promoters, sponsors, and event organizers. This release and indemnification are binding on my heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assigns.
I agree to receive any necessary medical treatment, including ambulance transportation, as determined by the session/training organizers/coaches during or after the event, and I accept responsibility for any associated medical costs. I understand that insurance coverage for participants may not cover all injuries or losses.
I acknowledge that safety precautions taken by organizers/coaches, such as risk assessments, course supervision, and safety briefings, are provided as a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety. I accept that I am responsible for understanding and following all safety guidelines and seeking clarification if needed.
I understand that I am responsible for the security of my personal belongings during the event/training session, and if a baggage transfer service is provided, I accept that the organizers are not responsible for any damage or loss.
My registration is non-transferable, and the event/training organizers/coaches have the right to change the training session, course, or other conditions at their discretion. If changes occur, this agreement still applies.
The event/training organizers/coaches reserve the right to refuse my participation in the event/training session at their discretion, even if my registration is accepted.
I understand that extreme surf or weather conditions may result in the cancellation of the event/training session. If a session is cancelled due to bad weather, we will only offer make-up sessions to those who were present on the day.
I will inform the training coordinator/coaches of any medical or physical conditions that may affect my performance or require medical treatment.
I consent to the use of my name, image, and likeness for promotional and broadcasting purposes before, during, and after the training session, and I understand that biographical information may be released to the media upon request.

How do I cancel my SurfFit Coaching Clinic registration?
If something comes up and you need to cancel your registration, please reach out to us right away at our email surffit.au@gmail.com and we will be in contact about arranging a refund if you are eligible.
What happens if the session is cancelled?
If the session needs to be cancelled due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, we will make every effort to reschedule the session if possible. If a rescheduled session is not possible, we will provide a refund or credit towards future sessions.
